MM Douze: Spring has Sprung!

Finally a new Monday Minute!  But, it might have to hold you over for a while---Saturday our first visitors from the U.S. come and I'll be traveling next week with them! :)

I know the Midwest is having a hard time shaking winter, so hopefully this will give you hope of what's to come!  (Texas, well....I mean, you never really had winter to start with!)

Until yesterday, Paris was in the same rut as much of the Midwest: winter, winter, and more winter!  Granted we didn't have the snow, but we had the clouds, the cold, rain!!!, and gray!  We've heard from everyone who's lived here a while that spring usually comes sooner than it has and that this winter has been loooonngg.  But, when spring comes, it comes in full force!  I forgot how awesome it is living in a climate where you appreciate the arrival of spring.  (Sorry, Texans!)  These past few days have reminded me of days on the Terrace at Madison, trips to Picnic Point, and so much more!

Picnickers...the true sign that spring is here!
Oh you know, just a fashion shoot
because the weather's so nice!
And I'm not the only one that gets excited about spring.  Think baguettes, cheese, and wine sounds perfect on a grassy spot in Paris?  Well, not to worry...if you come to Paris in good weather we will definitely treat you to the Parisian favorite of picnicking! People literally flocked to any and every park yesterday for their first picnic of the year!  We joined in the fun, but ventured to a park outside of the city limits in an attempt to avoid the people.

It seems that literally overnight everything has started to bud and bloom, and I couldn't be happier!  I will take 60 degree weather (even though yesterday's 75 was mighty nice!) and some sun for the months to come!  I'll leave you with a few images to brighten your day! :)
